Good Luck

Written by

At the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve we do all kinds of things to ensure good luck for the next year. I love these little brain nugs. Let's see if they work for 2022!

1. Kissing someone at midnight: Somehow, this tradition got messed up over the decades. Because many times we just grab someone and plant one on 'em. The point of the midnight kiss is to kiss someone you love so that you will enjoy love with that particular person in the new year.

2. Eat 12 grapes: This tradition originated from Spain. You eat 12 grapes (for each month of the year)-- exactly 12! And it must happen at midnight. I say plop 'em in a glass of bubbly for a cheers at midnight, and for good luck!

3. Don't eat lobster!: Just at midnight! The theory behind the not eating lobster is because they walk backwards. So, you don't want to set yourself up for setbacks in the new year.

I hope that 2022 finds you healthy, happy and safe. And.. that you get to have some fun, too!
