Santana reuniting & Lynyrd Skynyrd to set sail

Carlos Santana says that Santana is getting back together to record a new album. It was first leaked by Neal Schon, and Carlos confirmed the rumor adding, "As well as Neal we have the two Mikes, Mike Carabello and Michael Shrieve. I am pretty sure Greg's (Rolie) going to do it. So that is pretty much everyone." Carlos plans to head into the studio with the band after his current tour wraps, with the goal to have the album out in 2014.

Lynyd Skynyrd is headed back to the high seas with their 7th annual Simple Man Cruise. It sails October 20-24th. Some of the artists joining them include Blackberry Smoke, Black Stone Cherry, Heather Luttrell, Drake White, and The X Brothers, with more acts are to be announced. Check out details at www.simplemancruise.com. In the meantime the band has been postponing some dates while guitarist Gary Rossington continues to recover from an intestional infection.
