Eagles bassist Timothy B. Schmit has let it known he was diagnosed with cancer of the throat and neck back in October, and had successful surgery to remove it on November 17th. Metallica has announced plans for the Orion Music and More Festival, which was held for the first time this past summer in Atlantic City, New Jersey in honor of their fallen brother Cliff Burton. The band will bring the festival back in 2013 to Detroit! the exact location and line-up will be announced in February, but you can go ahead and put in for your vacation days now because the festival will be held on June 8th and 9th... and the Motor City is driving distance for us!!
