Papa Roach drops out of Uproar

& Tony Iommi and Ian Gillan's  2-disc set

Papa Roach has pulled out of the Uproar Festival Tour because singer Jacoby Shaddix has to have a nodule on his vocal cords surgically removed. It's been causing him problems for a while, but docs felt he needed to get it taken care of before he caused some real damage. The tour will go on with Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind, P.O.D., Adelita's Way and more. It hits Blossom on September 9th and I've got free tickets on The Nooner all this week.

Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi and Deep Purple's Ian Gillan have partnered up for a side project called WhoCares. The 2-disc set will be available on earMUSIC this week (Tuesday 8/28), and will feature two original WhoCares tracks, along with a bunch of unreleased music from both guys, their former bands and some obscure collaborations and B-sides.
