| Summit County Executive Russell M. Pry will be sponsoring the creation of the 9th annual 9/11 Remembrance Art Project, FREE Standing. The event is free and open to the public. Citizens who participate will be asked to sign a 6', wooden peace pole with red or blue markers as a way to permanently document their hope for peace. The pole, meant to represent a traditional flag pole, will feature a metal cap and stand upon a matching metal lined base. Four directional beams of light, symbolizing the world famous Tribute in Light installation at Ground Zero in New York City where the twin towers once stood, will be angled towards the pole to showcase signatures. The lights will also illuminate the engraved terms, "9/11 Remembrance Art Project" and "FREE Standing." For more information contact Summit County Executive Russell M.
